Thursday, January 14, 2021 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (MST)

WITI is excited to announce our next virtual event on Thursday, January 14th at 12pm MT!

Ally Mindset: Why Best Friends at Work Matter

What if you could do just one thing that would make you 96 percent more likely to be extremely satisfied with your life and at work—would you do it? Research shows that employees who have best friends at work are seven times more likely to be engaged, take fewer sick days, focus on their customer needs, and feel more committed to their team and organization. 2020 introduced the endless ZoomMeetTeamsHangout and the illusion of connection - through a 2D view. Yet many of us are feeling disconnected without the 3D human experience. Now, more than ever, how we lead, connect, and inspire the people who work with and for us matters. So what’s the one thing? Finding, and being, a best friend at work.

In this interactive session you will:

  • Understand why you need to be intentional about how you show up in all your relationships, including the one with yourself
  • Identify the four yeses that underpin all healthy relationships
  • Introduce the five qualities of an Ally Mindset
  • Choose one action that will strengthen your Ally Mindset, beliefs, and behaviors

Additionally, all participants will have the opportunity to complete their personal Ally Mindset profile. Morag Barrett is the author of Cultivate. The Power of Winning Relationships, The Future-Proof Workplace and is currently writing Best Friends at Work: How an Ally Mindset Improves Your Happiness, Engagement, and Productivity with her team which will launch in 2021. Morag is the founder and CEO of SkyeTeam, a boutique leadership development firm, and has supported more than 15,000 leaders from 20 countries and on 4 continents achieve outstanding results by improving the effectiveness of their leadership and teams. For fun, in addition to time with her 3 sons, you’ll find Morag playing the bassoon or ballroom dancing (pre covid, now it's watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers). It’s also possible she may simply be relaxing in front of an episode of Law & Order.

As a footnote, her name is Scottish and means “great”. Social Media Facebook: Linked In:
