About This Event

Running a business is hard. Aside from the obvious trials and tribulations that come along with running a business, the unexpected events that have unfolded in 2020 are one for the books. Though many businesses have taken a huge hit or closed their doors all together, there have been some that have managed to scrape through this time of uncertainty.

Join General Assembly and our esteemed panelists to hear how their respective companies were able to pivot their strategies to stay above water during these crazy times. During this event our panelists will talk about:

  • What the transition to remote looked like
  • What the top priorities were for their companies
  • What the biggest growing pains were
  • What has worked and what they are continuing to build upon
  • Strategies you can take back to your team to try and execute

Jenn Uhen Photo

Founder/Community Organizer,
The Pledgettes

Jenn Uhen loves to talk about money as the Founder/Community Organizer of The Pledgettes. The Pledgettes is on a mission to abolish the gender wealth gap by facilitating money conversations with womxn through expert-led events and a membership community pledging 1% of their income to improve their personal wealth. Everyone’s financial goals are as unique as they are. Jenn Uhen has spent her career connecting her clients to their audiences. From bands to brands, entrepreneurs to leaders at Fortune 500 companies, driving connection is at the core of what she has done. As a career coach, mentor, and advocate, Jenn heard from many womxn that they will start investing “someday” or that growing up, they were taught to save their money. They weren’t taught the benefit of “investing in themselves” or investing on their own. Jenn also saw that womxn who were confident and clear with their financial goals had these “right-time, right-place conversations.” Jenn had a number of those conversations and saw the impact it made her in life. Jenn and her husband have clear financial goals, which include a diverse portfolio of investment property, retirement accounts, and businesses. All while living a minimalist (but comfortable) lifestyle, including traveling the country in an Airstream RV.
