Chris Magyar was Chief Apprenticeship Officer of Techtonic from 2016 to June 2021. Techtonic is a software services company building web-based and mobile products for start-ups and Fortune 1000 companies. As Chief Apprenticeship Officer, Chris is responsible for the overall operations and strategy of the Techtonic Apprenticeship Program. In 2016, Techtonic launched its apprenticeship and became the first company in the State of Colorado (and one of the first in the country) to establish a DOL registered apprenticeship for software development. This highly selective Apprenticeship program recruits people who have the desire, ambition, and skill set to be a great software developer – regardless of their background or academic training. Techtonic is addressing the talent gap while promoting greater diversity and inclusion by granting opportunities for women, people of color and underserved populations.
Chris has over 35 years of progressive career growth and has held executive positions in technology, life sciences, energy, healthcare and software industries. Chris is very active in technology, business and networking groups and is an active volunteer with the Colorado Technology Association. Chris recently served as Board Chair for Rebuilding Together Metro Denver, which provides critical home repairs to at risk seniors, veterans and those living with disabilities.
Chris is a Colorado native and outside of work Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, attending Broncos, CSU Rams and Rockies games and enjoying all of the beautiful golf courses around Colorado. https://www.linkedin.com/in/christophermagyar/
